Operation Extrteme Care

Value Others Selflessly 600

Ark of Hope for Children has a super volunteer and mentee that once aged-out of foster care and has been helping others ever since. While focusing on how to help other foster and once abused youth with how to age out with success, he enlisted in the military. Now a ranking officer in a war zone he is still only thinking of others and continues to help Ark of Hope from afar as he can.

He has been so supportive of our efforts, that when he reached about most of his “group” not getting care packages from home that Ark of Hope jumped on it. We have launched Operation Extreme Care and we need your $5 to $10 care packages rushed to us, so we can rush them to 80+ enlisted troops in an active war zone that need encouragement and moral boosts from home. No matter what your stance, let’s support these men AND women!

This is a huge effort and I believe we can all pull it off on short notice.

We will do it again in the spring, but I think we can mass together and give them all needed cheer as they face extreme danger every day. It is highly possible that many others we will support were also ex-foster children and/or once abused.

I (Blair Corbett) have set up a fundraiser on YouCaring for any that are willing to help with the large shipping cost, and/or have us purchase the supplies. The link to the fundraiser is Operation Extreme Care and since Ark of Hope is championing this effort, your donations are fully tax deductible. All funds received will go specifically for Operation Extreme Care unless otherwise noted by the sender.

Each care package will be no more than $5 to $10 each and should contain things from toiletries and snacks, to notes, card or colored pictures from kids thanking them for their service. No names of servicemen and women will be provided and carers should not send their names either.
